The latest addition to Europa Universalis 4, called Cossacks – presented the creators of the most ambitious and famous strategy – Paradox Development Studios. This expansion will become available very soon, as its release is scheduled for the last months of 2015. Among the most famous innovations, there are a number of features that favorably change the idea of diplomacy.
- Estates. Transfer power, but don't forget about it. Own provinces can be entrusted to the hands of priests, Cossacks, nobles and other representatives of factions. This brings you a little less income, but at the same time reduces anxiety for them. The player also receives a reduction in the unrest prevailing in the province, and as a nice addition, recruits and cavalry, much cheaper. However, it will not hurt to watch the transferred provinces, because when they feel free, they may think that they are able to rule themselves and want to overthrow you, the less you look after them, the more problems you expect from them.
- Diplomacy. Now you can publicly declare your personal attitude to this or that country, and the whole world will soon know about it.
- However, it is possible to shock the world community with various claims for the right to own one or another neighboring province. In this way, you can do other things – promise land in exchange for allied support, etc.
- Tengrianism allows you to make a choice in favor of another religion, which rightfully becomes along with the state one.
- Sharing – connect. Nomadic peoples are obliged to maintain the cohesion of the tribes of the horde, which can only be obtained by devastating the provinces.
- Change culture profitably. A province can have any culture that differs from the main one, in case of an unfavorable change, you can change the culture to the one that was the previous one.
- Nuances of espionage. Thanks to the new abilities of spies – you can learn a very important technology of a country more developed than yours, or you can engage your scouts in sabotage – push individual subjects of the enemy's possessions to independence.
